Jayne's favorite word is imagination. She works instinctively to make a lasting impression on every child she meets. As an author, publisher, and presenter of children’s books, she has finally found her stride. Jayne attributes her mother’s love of poetry and quick-witted humor as the spark which gave her an early appreciation for good rhymes. She grew up on a farm in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she readily learned hard work and a little bit of dirt builds character

Fostering creativity, inspiring imaginations, and promoting the art of storytelling is at the heart of who she is.

Literacy For Kids

Literacy for Kids, Inc. was born out of the evolution of ideas and observations that Jayne experienced throughout her DLIMH journey. Heather Mertz, LFK’s Executive Director, joined forces with Jayne in 2018 to create a more artistic approach to promoting literacy. Built on the premise there is beat and rhythm in everyday life – LFK celebrates this universal language.

As an organization, Literacy for Kids invites children to explore illustrations in combination with words to become storytellers themselves. Literacy is not just the mechanics of reading; it is the instinct to want to learn and be curious.

The intention is to motivate, validate, and make a personal connection with every student. As added support, all profits from the Jayne M. Rose-Vallee brand are donated to Literacy for Kids. Check out literacyforkids.org for more information and to join the movement.

Jayne created the Rosevallee Creations Company in 2013. It has published five works in the Dinosaurs Living in My Hair! series. The logo, a creative play on the Queen Triggerfish, was originally chosen because of its’ unique characteristics. This feisty speciman is protective of their young, constantly on the move, and has the ability to change its flamboyant and regal colors depending on its mood.

Eight years after adopting the Queen Triggerfish as the RVC logo, it debuts in Dinosaurs Living in My Hair!3.

This Independent Publishing house has received several awards and is excited to present DLIMH!3 — An Underwater Adventure, in December 2021.
